More than 30,000 people suffer rural SHP
More than 30,000 people are suffering and hindered from accessing vital government services in the Aiya Rural LLG of, Kagua Erave District in the Southern Highlands Province due to the collapse of the Kagua River Bridge.
The narrative is about to change following the visit of the District Chief Executive Officer Peter Koropali and his team who are keen to have the Bridge rebuilt.
Speaking to NBC National News in Usa Village earlier this week he made positive remarks.
"As the CEO , I have visited the location and personally witnessed the struggles faced by our people. For almost 2 years, they have been cut off from basic government services and read access due to the damaged bridge. I will do what I can to ensure that some fundings are sources to restore this important life line of the people,"Koropali said.
With so much negligence from the government and relevant authorities, the road has also deteriorated greatly over time and posses great concerns.
Meanwhile, the locals have also expressed that this must be given a priority as they have suffered enough and can't be denied from accessing rightful government services.
