Rigo schools’ rugby league prepares for Gala Day

The Rigo Schools Rugby League Committee will host a Gala Day this Saturday at Kwikila Station, launching preparations for the 2025 school rugby league season.

The event will focus on raising awareness and encouraging schools across Rigo District to register for the upcoming competition, which is set to begin in May.

Organizers say the Gala Day is an important platform for sharing information about how schools can get involved, and to promote the values of discipline, teamwork, and leadership among students through sport.

No games will be played on the day, as the focus is on building partnerships and preparing schools for participation.

The initiative is proudly supported by Moni Plus and Walk the Talk as major sponsors, along with the Member for Rigo, Sir Ano Pala, as a minor sponsor.

School leaders, teachers, students, and community members are encouraged to attend and be part of this important kickoff event for school rugby league in the district.
