Hunters to face Falcons in top-6 battle

PNG Hunters seesawing journey continues to reach new heights in the Hostplus Cup as they look to set foot in the top-6 spot this weekend.
After a comfortable 42-28 win over Capras, Hunters will be on the roll again when they meet Sunshine Falcons on Sunday at Sunshine Coast Stadium in Brisbane.
The delayed round 14 match is an important game for the Paul Aiton coached side who have been impressive midway through the season.
Both teams are 22 points a piece but point differential propelled the Falcons ahead on the 6th place of Hostplus Cup ladder.
Sunday's match is crucial for Hunters with a focused mindset to record a win to maintain their finals aspirations.
Coach Aiton has maintained majority of the squad from last week's winning side with Valentine Richard ruled out on nose fracture as well as Joshua Mire and Robert Mathias.
Strike weapon Clent Lama and skipper Ila Alu have returned from injuries in the centre and lock position respectively whilst naming youngster Gairo Voro on the bench as 18th man.
Aiton told media this week that the club is committed to continue the winning momentum.
"The final is what we've been thinking of but it's not our focal point at the moment," he said.
The two teams met in round 3 with Hunters coming out victors, but, coach Aiton is expecting a tough away contest come Sunday.
A win will push Hunters into the sixth spot with the Port Moresby based franchise scheduled for by next weekend.
