AROB Black Orchids take home Sports Tok 7’s Tournament Cup

The Black Orchids from the Autonomous Region of Bougainville have claimed the 2024 Sports Tok Rugby Sevens tournament cup following a convincing 22-7 win over the city boys, the Gerehu Natives.

The last time the Black Orchids finished off as champions of the Sports Tok Sevens was in 2022.

Meanwhile in the other results, Chauka Crocs defeated Juggernauts 15-14 in the men's trophy finals and the Enzu Chiefs from Lihir beat Flying Fox 12-7 to win the Shield finals.

Despite the wet weather conditions in the nation's capital, Sports Tok Rugby Sevens founder Benson Upas was pleased with the talent displayed during the three days of games.

Upas also acknowledged Niu Power for coming on board as the naming rights sponsor of this time tournament again this year.
